Project Book Examples on MCB Web Site

MCB wants to provide you with as much assistance as possible as you prepare for the Award Competition so we are again giving you this information. For the first time we have placed four Project Books from different population categories on our web site. These examples will give new or reactivating communities or neighborhoods a starting point as they assemble information and put their project book together. For the communities and neighborhoods that have participated in the Award Competition for many years this will give you examples of how other organizations compose their project book to determine if you would like to try a new style of presentation.

If you would like to use this new MCB resource please go to our web site at mcb web site and review the Project Book examples. The pages following each project may be filled with newspaper articles, photos or other information that provides information about your project. Remember your Project Book is the first opportunity that the judges have to learn about your projects before they visit your community or neighborhood.

Jim Lysaght Returns for the 44th Annual Conference

Jim Lysaght is back by popular demand. For those of you that did not attend our conference last year let me tell you about Jim. This is what happens when you turn a highway patrolman into a magician. Jim left a 21-year career with the Missouri Highway Patrol because there was no demand for a funny highway patrolman! Today Jim is recognized as one of the leading corporate speakers in the U.S.

By combining his dynamic ability, humorous outlook on life, and skill as a magician, Jim delivers a high- energy, fun packed program involving audience participation. The presentations and shows leave a lasting, positive impression on everyone. And, best of all everyone leaves laughing.

We are fortunate to have Jim presenting two youth sessions at our conference this year. The topics are: Team Community - Learn how to build relationship's to form a team effort to move forward in your community and Valuable Living - Learn to identify your core values that will move you to the top in your community.

Mark you calendars now and plan to attend these two great sessions.
