Greetings!

The weather this month has been a challenge for many Missouri communities. If your community has been affected by the weather please know that our thoughts are with you as you make the repairs that your community needs.

Last month we asked for your help and we continue to need some information. For a number of years MCB published a booklet titled "Awards in Review". This booklet provides information about the award winners since the beginning of MCB. MCB is in the process of updating this information so that we may place it on our web site.

Listed below are the names of the youth leadership winners from 2003. We would like for you to help us by providing the name of the community where they resided when nominated.

Sid Fisher, Dustin Beasley, Callie Comegys, Sara Foster and Andrew Picker.

If you can help us identify these individuals please contact Jan Simon at 660-259-4409 or by email at mcb@iland.net

Planning for Success

Since planning is such a vital part of each community betterment organization we want to encourage you to review your plan from last year and make any changes that you feel are needed.

If you determine that it is time to develop a new plan - please go to the MCB web site at mcb web site and review our planning guide to give you some suggestions. Then start working on your new planning process whichever style your community decides to use.

Part of the presentation at the Regional Meetings this year will give communities examples of different planning processes that are available.
