MCB hopes that the New Year finds you ready for your 2011 project entries! To assist your communities with this process, MCB wants to bring you some new information. The MCB Conference this year will be the 48th Annual Conference. The MCB Board is very pleased to announce the theme for 2011 is: "MCB is not magic, but it works; the odds for winning look good. Take your chances...."
This theme may be used as you start to put together ideas for your community project book.
The 2011 Award Competition materials are being updated and will be available on the MCB Web Site as they are completed. The information will be mailed to the communities upon their request.

Request A Community Visit
Missouri Community Betterment is fortunate to have received funds through the Neighborhood Assistance Program project that enables MCB Executive Director Jan Simon to be available to make visits to communities at no charge.
The criteria for a community visit have been developed and are available on the MCB Web Site. Click on "Community Visit Criteria" in the Red Section under "Local Community Betterment Start-Up."
If you are aware of any community that meets the criteria listed, please have them contact Jan Simon at 417-334-3474 or at mcb@iland.net to discuss their community visit.
Visits can only be made until designated funds are expended, so please contact Jan Simon soon!
MCB Forum on Website
MCB reminds you that the Forum continues to be available on the MCB Web Site.
The goal of the MCB Forum is to give community members an opportunity to obtain news, ask questions, and get answers.
You must register to be able to enter the MCB Forum. Go to the MCB Web Site and click on the "Forum" tab at the top left of the screen. Follow the instructions in the Welcome Section. Now you are ready to use the Forum.

MCB Project Book Matrix
Is your community looking for some tested and proven ideas for community and youth group projects? The 2010 MCB award competition projects for communities and youth groups is the place to get ideas that may work in your community! Go to the MCB Web Site to find the Project Matrix. They are located under the Gold Community Projects Tab on the left side of the web site.
When you click on the project name, the project summary form will appear. Additional information about each project may be obtained by clicking on the name of the community. A contact person's name, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address will be available.
Missouri Community Betterment is working to provide more information for local communities to help them improve the quality of life of their community, and make all the communities of Missouri a better place to live, work, and play.
