Ameren Services - Economic Development Preparedness

Eligible Entities:   Private Businesses

 

Expanding existing customers or new prospective customers who estimate a 500 kW monthly demand, a 55% load factor, and who are offered and accept a governmental incentive where a competitive situation is documented to Ameren’s satisfaction are eligible to receive up to a 15 % discount for each of 5 years. An existing expanding business or new locating customer must receive an incentive proposal from Ameren before a location or expansion decision is made to be eligible for the incentive. Retail establishments are not eligible.

Name of Program:  Ameren InSite

Program Category:  Economic Development

Type of Program:Technical Assistance

 

Eligible Entities:  Local Governments, not for profit corporations and volunteer groups in the Ameren service territory 

 

Ameren InSite is Ameren’s certified site program. Ameren certifies to existing businesses and prospects that the documented development site is ready for development. A community group must provide Ameren identified information to prove the site is ready for development. Eligible properties must be Ameren served with natural gas and/or electricity, 10 acres, must have one utility (water or wastewater) at or adjacent to the site and may be publicly or privately owned. Once certified, the community will receive architecturally stamped building plans for a 60,000 expandable to 200,000 sq. ft. building with bid specifications and renderings of the building. The building can be retractable to 20,000 sq. ft. The building documents are provided in metal or concrete construction. The only cost of the program is the amount of money the locality needs to document the site.

Name of Program:  Ameren Qol - Quality of Labor

Program Category:  Economic Development

Type of Program: Technical Assistance

 

Eligible Entities:  This program can be done on a county or regional level. Local governments, not–for-profits and economic development groups in a region where some of the localities are Ameren served. 

 

The Quality of Labor Program is a survey where local executive management and employees are surveyed and public sources of information are reviewed. The Quality of Labor Program has six parts. They are Quality of Labor, local questionnaire, training, and wage classification, underemployment and commuter employment. A county or regional group is not required to do all six parts but is required to do the Quality of Labor part if Ameren will be providing partial funding for your project. This program is both an existing business and business attraction tool.
