Since 1919, Associated Industries has helped Missouri
businesses succeed at business by fighting for
pro-business legislation at the State Capitol; offering
training and educational opportunities; providing a
variety of valuable resources to its members at a
reasonable cost; and most recently spearheading a new
insurance initiative that brings low-cost, high-quality
health insurance to the small businesses of
this state. Missouri is home to a strong and diverse
business and industrial community whose goods and
services are known throughout the world for their
quality, competitiveness and reliability.
Regardless of the product, Missouri employers have one
thing in common – special needs and concerns that are
addressed through the programs of Associated Industries
of Missouri.
At
the State Capitol, Associated Industries is the
most experienced and knowledgeable pro-business lobbying
team.
Lawmakers and the media alike have praised AIM’s
success as business advocates. For more than a decade,
AIM led the fight to pass workers’ compensation reform
that would benefit both the employer and the injured
worker. It was through AIM’s tireless efforts that
Senate Bill 1 was passed in 2005. AIM has made it
our mission to educate employers on this new law,
sponsoring workshops across the state led by experts in
the field and distributing a special
booklet that explains the new law.
Missouri boasts one of the mostly highly trained
workforces in the United States and in an effort to
continue that, AIM sponsors a variety of
educational conferences and seminars on the most
hot button issues facing Missouri’s businesses.
AIM provides a
user-friendly training program, offered through the
Business Training Library, that gives AIM member
companies more than 1,600 different online courses. This
is the same training system used by Fortune 500
companies...at a fraction of the cost and without any
setup fees. Users can access the AIM Online University
anytime, anywhere. In addition, AIM members receive a
discount on courses. In conjunction with the Business
Training Library, AIM also gives members access to a
most comprehensive library containing over 3,000
high-quality video, CD-ROM and DVD programs covering all
areas of business. AIM members receive a 10 percent
discount off the normal library membership fees.
