Has your community used the MCB Resource Directory that is available on the MCB Web Site? This directory provides a tool for communities to be better able to continue to provide the quality of life they want in their community.
New information is constantly being added as it is received. If you have or know of information to add to the directory, please contact Jan Simon at 417-334-3474 or at
mcb@iland.net.
Please feel free to use this valuable resource often!
Request A Community Visit
Missouri Community Betterment is fortunate to have received funds through the Neighborhood Assistance Program project that enables MCB Executive Director Jan Simon to be available to make visits to communities at no charge.
The criteria for a community visit have been developed and are available on the MCB Web Site. Click on "Community Visit Criteria" in the Red Section under "Local Community Betterment Start-Up."
If you are aware of any community that meets the criteria listed, please have them contact Jan Simon at 417-334-3474 or at mcb@iland.net to discuss their community visit.
Visits can only be made until designated funds are expended, so please contact Jan Simon soon!
Community Plan
Important!
Since planning is such a vital part of each community betterment organization, MCB wants to encourage communities to review your community's plan from last year and make any changes that your community feels are needed.
If your community determines that it is time to develop a new plan, please go to the MCB Web Site "Planning Guide" for possible suggestions on how to start work on the new plan - using whichever style of plan your community chooses to use. Also available on the MCB Web Site is the "MCB Community Inventory Form" which is yet another community planning tool that is available.
When considering the projects your community chooses to enter into the MCB Awards Competition this year, remember that they should relate to your current community plan.
The Friends of MCB Want You To Join Us!
Please consider becoming a member of the "Friends of MCB."
For a $50-$249 membership, your name will appear on the MCB Web Site, in the MCB Annual Conference Program, and on other printed materials, as well as you being introduced at the MCB Conference Luncheon and Banquet, and receiving a MCB Lapel Pin.
